Welcome to the Island Quilter's Page!

Here are some FAQ's from the ladies to help you out!

Q:What is the best size for the isolette quilts?
A:The ideal size is 38-40 inches wide and 42-45 inches long. That fits just right with the elastic clips on the isolette top and back.

Q:What if my quilt isn't the right size for an isolette quilt, can I still donate it?
A:Any quilt that doesn't fit the isolettes can still be donated. They will be given to the Seaside Piecemakers Guild for the many needs their community service receives.

Q:Do I have to buy all the supplies for the quilts myself?
A:We receive grants to help with supplies, so never feel you must buy your own fabrics, batting, or etc. However, if you have anything that you don't think you will use for yourself and wish to use it for a donation quilt - it is greatly appreciated!

Q:I am a new quilter, will I be able to help with the quilts, or do I need to be more experienced?
A:We use relatively easy patterns that go together quickly for the isolette quilts. This is the perfect place for beginners, we will help you get the experience you need and will answer any questions you have as you go.

Q:Do I have to be a member of Seaside Piecemakers to join your circle?
A:No! We welcome all members to our circle.

Q:Where and when do you meet?
A:We meet at Thimbles & Thread and our meeting dates are on the shop calender in the newsletter (click on the 'Newsletters' link).
